Montrose Learning Centre
Although the College provides transport from most rural Angus areas, we also understand that it is not always possible or convenient for everyone to study at the main campus in Arbroath. In recognition of this, the College has established flagship Learning Centres in Forfar, Montrose, Kirriemuir and Brechin where there are a wide range of training options from full-time to part-time or even flexible 'drop-in' classes.
As of October 2006, the Angus College Sport and Fitness team entered a new era in its delivery of sport and leisure courses. The official opening of their new purpose-built facility at the Saltire Leisure Centre gives students and staff first class training suites, dance studio, sports hall and state-of-the-art fitness suite.

Our exciting new Brechin Learning Centre has re-located to a modern and spacious facility within the grounds of Brechin High School, on Duke Street. With a technology suite, two training rooms and comfortable social space we look forward to welcoming you.

Situated in West High Street, the Forfar Learning Centre provides the people of Forfar with a relaxed and comfortable environment for learning. The centre offers full and part-time courses as well as a wide range of leisure classes.
Along with two state-of-the-art IT suites, the centre also houses two boardroom/meeting rooms fully equipped with presentation equipment which are available to let by the local business community. The Centre has full disabled access ensuring that everyone, regardless of their disability has equal right to the facilities. A private car park is also available at the rear of the building.

Welcoming you to the Kirriemuir Centre is Maggie Henderson who offers a friendly smile and advice on the many learning opportunities open to you.
Situated close to the town centre, the Learning Centre provides a bright and relaxed atmosphere, catering for a range of learning opportunities from full-time programmes to art and other leisure classes.
Drop-in computing is also available whether you want to gain a qualification of just learn how to communicate with friends in far flung places.

The Montrose Learning Centre is a flourishing Centre, and well used by the local people of Montrose. Iit was one of the first Centres in Scotland to be awarded the Learn Direct Flagship Centre status by the Scottish University for Industry - the Government flagship organisation for lifelong learning.
The Centre is spread over three floors and provides spacious accommodation with a full range of facilities. The largest of our four Learning Centres, over 500 students pass through its doors each year to study everything from full-time National and Higher National programmes to computing and art.
There are two general classrooms, two IT suites, a training flat, a social area and a meeting room for counselling and interviews.
Students range from the school leaver, people wishing to return to work, those updating skills to retired people still eager to learn new skills. All students however, have one thing in common - they are keen to learn and gain great satisfaction from their achievements. The Landbased team have a facility at St Vigeans Glebe and West Newbigging, located on the outskirts of Arbroath, allowing students to experience the practical aspects of their courses first hand. With gardens, animals on site and an excellent range of equipment including tractors and quad bikes, this facility creates a real working environment.
In conjunction with St Vigeans Church, the Landbased team hold an ever popular annual Open Day (June) with an array of events and activities for the whole family.
