Community Programmes Awards
Community Programmes students were celebrating this today at an awards ceremony formally marking their hard work and achievements. The ceremonies which were hosted in the Angus Conference Centre invited over 200 students to bring along family and friends to celebrate their success.
The College’s Community Programmes department provides courses and resources adapted to meet individuals’ specific learning requirements. Students from across a range of courses offered by the department received certificates marking their completion of the course.
This year five students were also honoured with special awards including Ashley Cooper from Forfar who was awarded the Lara Pringle award for outstanding achievement for her hard work and commitment to her studies. James Steel (Monikie) and Mark Simpson (Arbroath) were also presented with special awards for their prize winning input into the recent Arts & Alcohol exhibition. Other winners included Kirstin Weir (Brechin) for her involvement in the EU project and Jody Blakelock (Arbroath) who shone on a recent residential trip.
Circilum Manager Wendy Duke said “All the students have really enjoyed the ceremony today and it is great to formally recognise their hard work. I would like to congratulate everyone and in particular the special award winners who all did a fantastic job to earn their awards.”
