Graeme Named Top Apprentice
Angus College's Graeme Adam from Arbroath recently won 1st Stage Apprentice of the year 2010 for the Northern Consortium heat of SECTT (Electrical Charitable Training Trust ) Apprentice of the Year competition.
In line with competence based assessment in the Electrical SVQ, SECTT promotes training and excellence in the Electrical Contracting industry by organising Apprentice of the Year competitions for both 1st and 2nd Stage apprentices. The regional heat for this was held recently at Inverness College and saw young electricians from across the region competed and being judged by a team of industry experts.
Competitors included apprentices representing eight other northern Colleges. However it was Graeme who succeeded and took home the title as well as an invitation to take part in the upcoming national heat in Edinburgh.
Angus College Tutor Colin McTaggart said “I would like to congratulate Graeme on this very impressive and well deserved win. We will all be supporting him once again in the national heat where I am confident he will do well.”
