Help From Students is a Start
HNC EARLY Education and Childcare students at Angus College have been busy over the last few months collecting household items to support Starter Packs Angus.
The class recently received a talk from Annie Clark, coordinator of Starter Packs Angus, and the students were moved by the work which the charity carries out and were keen to provide support as part of their citizenship skills.
They have collected hundreds of items including everything from towels and bedding to toothbrushes and tin openers.
Starter Packs Angus provides support to families and individuals whose tenancies are failing because they don''t have the financial means to turn a house into a home. The charity relies on donations and the huge selection of items donated by the college students has provided a real boost to the cause.
This week the class gathered together all the items they have collected and presented them to Annie Clark.
Annie commented: "The students have done a fabulous job and we are very grateful for their efforts. As a result we hope we can now develop more projects working alongside the college.
"Every little thing which they have donated will make a huge difference to households in need throughout Angus."
