The Open University, in partnership with Angus College, are launching their next round of Openings Courses in Angus.
With nine courses to choose from, all studied distance learning over a maximum of 20 weeks and starting in March, this could be the beginning of something really worthwhile.
With lots of support and no examinations, these short starter modules are specifically designed to give students a gentle introduction to a subject of interest.
Courses include: Understanding Health, Understanding Society, Introducing Environment, Understanding Management or Understanding Children and Young People, Starting with Law, Starting with Psychology or Starting with Maths and Making sense of the arts.
One Openings student who said: “This was a good course for me not only for the study skills but as a real confidence builder. It made me reflect on past experiences in a positive way and has given me the motivation for further study. Knowing that the tutor is only a phone call away is great. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to return to study.
Angus College are holding an information and taster evening on Tuesday 23 January 5.30-7pm. For further information call Pauline McDonald on 01241 432722.
