Who is this course aimed at?
This course sets down the foundations for people wishing to gain knowledge and understanding for either a career in a care setting or to further their studies in childcare, healthcare or social care. This course will provide you with an SQA Record of Achievement.
What entry requirements will I need?
Entry is subject to a selection process which consists of an interview, one satisfactory reference and a demonstration of written communication skills. All successful candidates will require to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check prior to placement.
How and where will I study?
Through academic study in the classroom you will have the opportunity to learn about various areas of care related issues. This highly successful course runs in our Learning Centres in Forfar, Brechin and Montrose and runs mornings only. There may be the opportunity for a practical placement in a care setting.

The course covers a range of subjects and these include:

Opportunities for further studies in Higher Early Education and Child Care or Higher Health and Social Care, also possible progression to HNC level. Nursery Assistant, Health Care Assistant, Home Carer.
