We live in a world where technology is constantly changing, at Angus College we move with it.  The course gives you the opportunity to learn how to use Microsoft Office Word 2007 effectively and efficiently at an advanced level.

Course Content: 

 This course is designed to cover the following topic areas.  Delegates will be asked to complete a Training Needs Analysis prior to the course to aid in the customisation of the course to accommodate the needs of those attending.

 Creating and Modifying Advanced Document Types

  • Create a mail merge document.
  • Create and manage master documents.
  • Create forms.

 Customizing Word 2007

  • Customize the Quick Access toolbar.
  • Change default save options.
  • Assign keyboard shortcuts.
  • Manage building blocks.

 Managing Styles and Templates

  • Manage styles.
  • Manage style sets.
  • Manage multilevel lists.
  • Manage templates.

 Managing Data Objects and Automation

  • Manage objects.
  • Record and edit a macro.
  • Manage an existing macro.

 Managing Fields and References

  • Create a custom TOC.
  • Insert cross-references within a document.
  • Manage fields.
  • Create object captioning.

 Managing Content

  • Manage visual content.
  • Manage table properties.
  • Apply paste options.
  • Find and replace content.

 Managing Documents

  • Embed fonts.
  • Apply variable formatting by using sections.
  • Restrict formatting and editing.
  • Recover documents.
  • Combine multiple documents.
Target Group: 

This course is intended for candidates with the equivalent of more than one year of hands-on experience in efficiently utilising advanced features of Microsoft Office Excel 2007. These skills include capturing, formatting, calculating, analysing, and presenting data and managing automation, data ranges, and workbooks.

This course is run over 1 full working day.

Certification: 

On successful completion students will receive an Angus College certificate.
