CIW Web Design Specialist

Candidates will learn the essentials of Web design and creation along with today's most current technologies such as XHTML coding, image editing, validation, CSS, GUI editors, server-side and client -side languages and much more.

Target Group: 

The course creates a certification pathway for individuals by combining two of the most popular CIW courses from the Master Designer track: Site Development Foundation and Site Designer.  No prior experience of developing Web pages is necessary however, students should be familiar with an operating system such as Microsoft Windows XP/Vista before taking this course.  In additon a copy of Adobe CS4 Web Premium is essential.

Duration: 

This course is studied open learning/online (books, online access and/or CD ROM will be provided).  The course can begin at any time and the esxtimated study time is - 

Site Development Folundation: 40-60 hours self study.

Site Designer: 120-150 hours self study.

If there is a change to a course about which you have expressed an interest, the College will let you know as soon as possible.

By expressing an interest about a course to the College, you agree to these rules about changes to courses.
