Project Management: Essential Skills for Success

 Project Management is a structured, 'lifecycle-based' approach to help you do the right things at the right time in order to meet your project goals. The Project Management course at Angus College serves as an introduction for new project managers and a refresher for those with more experience.

Course Content: 

The course includes an introduction to managing the project processes and issues, creating a project plan, working within project constraints, launching your project, applying a project framework for success, core project leadership skills, building a project charter, planning your project through to successful project closure.   

Throughout the course, you learn how to successfully plan, manage, deliver and close projects. You also learn how to implement project management processes and develop leadership skills. By the end of the course, you will have developed templates and checklists for use back at the office.

 

Target Group: 

This course is aimed at new project managers or those who want to update their experience.

Duration: 

This course if run over 3 consecutive days from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm.

A change could involve the replacement of a course with a new course, variations to course content or structure, the merger of courses, or the withdrawal of a course. The College may make a change to a course for the reasons set out above, or for other reasons where it is reasonable for the College to do so. If there is a change to a course about which you have expressed an interest, the College will let you know as soon as possible.

By expressing an interest about a course to the College, you agree to these rules about changes to courses.
