Manual Handling Awareness

The manual handling course is aimed at all levels of employees who may undertake manual handling operation.  The aim is to ensure that the risk of manual handling is minimised within an organisation by, identifying the factors involved in the assessment and control of risks associated with manual handling.  How to undertake  preliminary risk assessment to assess whether manual handling can be avoided and enabling the learner to identify and implement measures in order to minimise and control such risks.

 

 

Information
Course Content: 

By the end of this course, participants will have a thorough understanding of manual handling safety, safe lifting and carrying techniques and how to carry out a compliant manual handling risk assessment.

Target Group: 

Most employees at some point or another have lifting and carrying to do and this course will ensure that they are fully aware of safe practices in this area. Suitable for technical, operational or administrative staff.

Benefits: 

The objectives of this training programme are to assist those in industry to reduce the number and severity of manual handling injuries and to reduce, as far as practicable, manual handling hazards in the workplace.

Duration: 

This course is run over 1 day.

Certification: 

A College Certificate of attendance stating areas covered will be awarded on completion of the course.
