BA Management Studies (Stage 3) - Distance Learning

Who is this course aimed at?

This course is ideal for anyone in the workplace who has substantial experience of working in a leadership or managerial role including those who may not have formal qualifications such as HND or degree.

What entry requirements will I need?

• 2 years management experience and qualifications in a non-management discipline

• Those in a non-management role with qualifications that meet the pre-entry requirements.

How and where will I study?

The course will be supported by workshops at Angus College, Keptie Road, Arbroath on a Tuesday from 6.30-8.30pm. Each module is delivered over 8 weeks (double modules 16 weeks).

Students will benefit from attending classes but the course has been developed to be undertaken on a distance learning basis so weekly attendance is optional. Various online technologies are used throughout the delivery e.g. discussion forum, virtual classroom which support the distance learner.

What are the funding options for this course?

The cost for the complete course is £2660.

Students earning less than £25,000 per annum can apply to SAAS for a Part-time Fee Grant to help fund part of the course. Please visit http://www.saas.gov.uk/student_support/special_circumstances/part_time_dl.htm for further details regarding this.

Information Technology, Management Environment, Business & People Skills, Managing Finance, Business Law, Business Projects and Research Methods.

Job and progression routes?

On successful completion it may be possible to progress to BA Management (Hons) at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen or into a management position in the workplace.
