PDA Childhood Practice - Flexible

Who is this course aimed at?

This course is for people who are in work at practitioner/manager level, either in early education and childcare or playwork settings.

What entry requirements will I need?

This course is ideal for those who already have a practitioner qualification as prescribed by the SSSC eg. NNEB, SNNB, HNC or SQV 3. In addition, you should be working in or have access to a prolonged placement in an early education or play work setting in a lead role (a minimum of two sessions per week).

How and where will I study?

This award is delivered on one evening per week starting in March 2014 from 6.30pm to 9pm and flexibly over 48 weeks (approx).

What will I study on this course?

SCQF Level 8

This award aims to allow candidates to advance their knowledge using theoretical underpinning, commensurate with the practices of a lead practitioner or manager in early education and childcare or playwork setting.

Job and progression routes?

Progression routes may be possible on successful completion to BA Childhood Practice, PDA Childhood Practice Level 9. Senior Practitioner/Manager in relevant setting.
