Who is this course aimed at?

Administration plays an integral role in all organisations and provides a wide range of employment opportunities. This highly practical course will develop administrative, IT and finance skills which are essential requirements of today’s modern workplace. It provides an ideal opportunity to build your confidence and appeal to those wishing to return after a career break or those looking to enter the job market for the first time.

What entry requirements will I need?

No formal qualifications are required.

How and where will I study?

This course is available in Arbroath only.

This course can also be undertaken with additional IT options.

What will I study on this course?

SCQF Level 4-6

This course covers the main subject areas of office related information technology and word processing, administration, business communications, telephone communication and customer service skills. You can also undertake options in the finance area including book-keeping and payroll which will allow you to progress to employment in a variety of accounting areas.

Job and progression routes?

Successful completion of the course will allow entry into HNC Accounting, HNC/HND Administration and Information Technology, or alternatively, to SVQ Level 2 in Administration.

Typical career paths may be to employment as accounts assistants dealing with purchase/sales ledgers, administrative posts in book-keeping, payroll or general administrative posts.
