Diploma In Culinary Arts (Year 2) - Full Time

Who is this course aimed at?

The Diploma in Culinary Arts is a unique experience that attracts both young and mature students and is designed to allow students to develop their skills from industry or the Certificate in Professional Cookery.

What entry requirements will I need?

A pre-selected range of qualifications from NC Professional Cookery or a minimum of two years appropriate industrial experience plus a relevant hygiene certificate.

How and where will I study?

You will have the opportunity to learn in our industry standard kitchens and be part of operating our well-known training restaurant – 56. Learning styles are varied with a strong emphasis on professionalism and teamwork. There may also be an opportunity to study on a European placement.

What will I study on this course?

In our kitchens you will experience advanced modern cookery techniques, menu planning, presentation skills and patisserie as well as high level customer service techniques.

Job and progression routes?

Commis chef, chef de partie, front of house personnel. Successful completion of Year 1 is required to progress to Year 2 and will include an interview.
