Who is this course aimed at?

This course is aimed at the creative student with an interest in computing, graphics, digital game design, web design, animation and video production.

What entry requirements will I need?

Entry is subject to a selection process which will assess your suitability in terms of academic qualifications and motivation. The minimum academic qualifications are: successful completion of a minimum of 15 credits on the Introduction to Interactive Computing course; as well as achieving core skills units at Intermediate 1/SCQF Level 4. For direct entry you would normally be expected to have attained a minimum of four Standard Grades at level 3-4 including, one which should preferably be English. Mature applicants seeking a change in career are welcome and will be assessed on an individual basis and may be required to undertake additional exercises.

How and where will I study?

Study for this full-time course will take place at the main college campus in Arbroath. The programme is delivered over one year, approx- imately 16 hours per week. Although achievement is continually assessed, you will also sit a formal exam at the end of the year.

What will I study on this course?

This exciting course is designed to provide you with the expertise required to work in the area of digital media through the use of computer and multimedia software packages. Subject areas include graphic design, video production, multimedia design, photography, 2D animation and games design.

Job and progression routes?

Successful completion of at least 15 credits as well as achieving core skills units at Int2/Higher level may allow for progression to HNC Interactive Media and Web Development (subject to a selection process).
