Who is this course aimed at?
These are full-time courses for young people who wish to continue their studies in a more supportive environment. Study is offered at a rate and pace suitable to the individual with achievements expected in a range of assessment opportunities.
Students will also be offered opportunities to attend work placements and enhance their employability skills.
What entry requirements will I need?
Supported Education are committed to offering a wide range of provision across a range of subject areas. There are no pre-entry requirements other than a willingness to study and a motivation to participate fully as a student at College.
Applicants will be invited to come and meet the staff team for an informal interview, where together, we will discuss which course suits your needs best.
How and where will I study?
Courses are generally full-time for up to two years.
What will I study on this course?
Each student has a personal timetable. This is made up of key areas which all students will cover: Communication, Numeracy, IT, Employment/Enterprise Skills, Independent Living Skills, Health Studies and Personal Development.
In addition to these key areas, students will be given guidance on vocational tasters throughout the year which may include Painting & Decorating, Hair & Beauty, Catering, Joinery, Animal Care, Gardening, Construction and Sport.
Students may also be able to develop their skills in Art & Craft, Leisure & Recreation, Sports Studies, Drama and Photography/Digital Media, Community Leisure, Volunteering.
