HNC Additional Support Needs: Supporting The Individual - Flexible Learning

Who is this course aimed at?

This course is designed for candidates who are already working in a setting supporting individuals who have additional needs.

What entry requirements will I need?

Entry requirement would be an award at SCQF Level 6 such as PDA Support for Learning Assistant. Candidates must also be employed in a relevant setting.

How and where will I study?

Units are presented in class and flexibly.

This award may be delivered from March 2014, one evening per week for 16 months.

What are the funding options for this course? SAAS Part-Time Fee Grant/Self/Sponsor

Price: £800 (based on session 12/13 prices. 13/14 pricing to be confirmed)

What will I study on this course?

SCQF Level 7

You will study theory, policy and practices which will enable you to be a confident and competent practitioner. This course will enhance your understanding of the skills needed to work with individuals who have additional support needs. The philosophy adopted on the course very much reflects care values and principles such as respecting people’s individuality, maintaining confidentiality and encouraging you to achieve the award.

Job and progression routes?

This qualification covers the criteria to work at practitioner level.
