Gents Hairdressing/clippering

Who is this course aimed at?

This course is for those who wish to progress into a career in barbering/hairdressing.

What entry requirements will I need?

There are no formal entry requirements required, however some hairdressing experience would be beneficial.

How and where will I study?

A combination of demonstrations, theory and hands-on practice. Students will be required to arrange their own models to allow for the best progression on the course. You will also be required to supply the appropriate tools and equipment – this can be arranged through the College. This course can be studied one evening per week, Monday 6-9pm, at the Arbroath campus.

Price: £495 (based on session 12/13 pricing. 13/14 pricing to be confirmed).

What will I study on this course?

SCQF Level 5

The course will include cutting hair with both scissors and clippers to achieve various styles using a combination of techniques at an introductory level. Some theory will also be taught to support the learning.

Job and progression routes?

Successful completion of this course will give basic barbering skills for a junior/apprentice barber.
