Who is this course aimed at?

This course allows candidates to advance their craft skills and give increased flexibility and options for those who wish to progress into supervision, management or technician areas.

What entry requirements will I need?

Those who are working through their Modern Apprenticeship will be the main candidate group and this certificate can be completed in the third or fourth year of their apprenticeship. It is also recognised that these qualifications may be used for experienced workers outwith the Modern Apprenticeship.You should already have completed and SVQ Level III in Painting and Decorating.

How and where will I study?

The course will be delivered at the Arbroath campus. Start date: 26 August 2013 over 36 weeks. (Day release with twilight 9.00am – 6.30pm)

Price: £945 (based on session 12/13 pricing. 13/14 pricing to be confirmed).

What will I study on this course?

SCQF Level 7

This qualification will require you to spend the majority of your time in a workshop/project area environment. Designed not only to develop your hand skills, more specialist and traditional craft skills and core skills, but also equip you with an increased knowledge and understanding of the construction industry.

Job and progression routes?

The PDA also offers you further opportunities to progress to construction related Higher National Certificate or Higher National Diploma courses.
