Microsoft Office Specialist - Excel (Core)
Who is this course aimed at?
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) is the only performance based certification that validates the skills you need to get the most out of Microsoft Office. Gaining an MOS certification can help you: boost your CV and stand out in today’s competitive job market; broaden your employment opportunities by displaying your advanced skills and; support higher earning potential.
What entry requirements will I need?
You should have experience in using the relevant version of Microsoft Excel.
How and where will I study?
This course is delivered by distance learning. The exam will take place in the main campus in Arbroath. There may be opportunities to study through class attendance.
Course Materials:
You will be supplied with official Microsoft course material, an exam voucher and access to practice exam questions.
Exam Information:
The MOS exams are performance based. You are given a set of instructions to follow, typically modifying a business document. There are a set number of questions per exam each worth 1 to 3 points. Your overall mark is given out of 1000 along with the pass mark.
Cost for each MOS course: £200 (based on session 12/13 pricing, 13/14 pricing to be confirmed).
What are the funding options for these courses? SDS (ILA200)/Self/Sponsor
You are given 6 months from the receipt of materials to complete the course and sit the exam.
